summer cool down

Well, Summer is almost over.. All my friends are going back to school, to work, or to their married life... Notme, still slaving away in the lawn & Landscape business... But that's ok, weather is getting cooler, thank God, well for a week it has been great.. Saturday me and Will( Leaving for Amsterdam) went up to Itasca ( where the mighty mississipi river begins) and did some nice biking, the leaves of the birch and maple were changing due to the chilly over night weather. In the evening we had a little bonfire which was very pleasant, especially with some of my fresh roasted Mexican coffee...UHHUH
Sunday , I had a great evening on the lake with my fishing boat and even caught a nice crappie, but the water was glass, and the lake was empty except for the orangish glare of the falling sun resting behind the evergreen trees to the west.. Well -- get out and explore the great outdoors

long hot summer

long time since i last wrote..here is a pathetic summary of my last couple of months

May and June consisted of 75hr workweeks while it was cool and lots of rain was coming down....Pretty boring stuff...
July has been hot and humid.. Most of my friends came back from school so we have some good time for boating, swimming, playing tennis, etc....

I finally purchased my 73 acre farm west of Jenkins (Pop 283) it is a beautiful spot looking into the sunset with waves of green pastures, neighboring cattle ranches, and a nice old classic farmhouse in need of lots of TLC.. the farmer named Sonny, is quite a character who has enlightened me to the exciting life of a true redneck (not derogatory, but a compliment to him) and his crazy life of the old farm, and his liking to riding hs harley and some of the accidents he had laying the bike down..
Over and out for now....
